      1. Demonstratie C-Factory met Thomas Vailly (lezing geannuleerd)

        Demonstration C-factory on October 13 2013/1
        1. Thomas Vailly, Itay Ohaly and others have created the C-Factory (Creative Factory), an installation that restores designers’ control over their own creations. Made up of a production line, machines, tools and products, the C-Factory engages with the audience. It proposes an alternative form of industrialisation, production and consumption.

          The Ruin is exhibiting Line 02, a installation that forms part of the C-Factory. Line 02 enacts a dialogue between 3D modelling, rapid prototyping, craftsmanship and design. It provides a versatile, low-tech way to produce fluid and organic plastic shapes. The installation features latex sheets that can be stretched, scaled and blown to create an infinity of fluid volumes. 

          Vailly will demonstrate the C-Factory production process in a demonstration on Sunday 13 October, 12pm and 2pm, in The New Institute.
        2. Thomas Vailly is samen met o.a. Itay Ohaly de bedenker van de C-Factory (Creative Factory), een installatie waarmee zij de controle over hun creaties willen terugwinnen. Ze creëren hun eigen productielijn, machines, gereedschap en producten, in relatie tot de hen omringende gemeenschap. Ze doen daarmee een voorstel tot een alternatieve industrialisatie, productie en consumptie.

          De Ruïne toont de installatie ‘Line 02’, onderdeel van de C-Factory. “A versatile and low tech way to produce fluid and organic plastic shapes. Latex sheets are like numeric surfaces, and can be stretched, scaled and blown to create an infinity of fluid volumes. Line 02 is a dialog between 3D-modeling, rapid prototyping, craftsmanship and design.”

          Thomas Vailly demonstreet op zondag 13 oktober van 12.00 tot 14.00 uur de C-Factory in Het Nieuwe Instituut. 

        1. DEMONSTRATION: The C-Factory

          Thomas Vailly will bring the C-Factory to life on Sunday 13 October. Vases will be manufactured with the help of Line 02, installed inside The Ruin at The New Institute. Visitors will be able to observe all the phases of the production process.

          Due to circumstances, the lecture and workshop have been cancelled.

        2. DEMONSTRATIE: van de C-Factory

          Thomas Vailly zal de C-Factory op zondag 13 oktober tot leven wekken: met behulp van Productielijn 02, die is opgesteld in De Ruine van Het Nieuwe Instituut, zullen vazen geproduceerd worden. De bezoeker kan alle fasen in het productieproces aanschouwen.

          De lezing en workshop zijn wegens omstandigheden geannuleerd.
